Obituaries

James Edward Bunch, Knoxville

James Edward Bunch, 49, of Knoxville left his earthly home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Thursday January 10, 2019, to meet his Lord and Savior. Waiting to welcome him was his dad Jessie and step-mother Barbara Bunch; sister-in-law Tracy Bunch; his “Gran,” Lois Ellen Siratt; and uncle Jay (Jacob Finley Siratt III).

He is survived by his mother Nina Bunch Thompson of Knoxville; brothers Michael Bunch of Pelham, TN; Douglas Bunch and wife Debbie of Oliver Springs; step-sisters Shelly Stirling and husband Glenn of Knoxville; and Summer Stephenson of Oak Ridge; nephew Ryan Bunch and wife Kayla, grand niece Mollie and grand nephews Patrick and Chandler, all of Oliver Springs; girlfriend Lisa Wise of Clinton; and his two special aunts, Beverly Scofield and Patricia (Nancy) Cooper of Santa Maria, California.

James was born at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey on March 14, 1969. Being an Army “brat,” he lived in many states before the family settled in Tennessee where he graduated from Clinton High School in 1987. James was well known for his great sense of humor. He enjoyed his work and co-workers at Choice Spine, following Tennessee Vol football, playing video games, and driving his cherished Dodge Charger (sometimes too fast?).

The family will receive friends, Monday, January 14, 2019 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs, TN. The funeral will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robbie Leach officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at Oliver Springs Cemetery. Premier Sharp Funeral Home is proudly serving the bunch family and we invite you to share a message of condolence to the family at www.sharpfh.com.
